We live in a technological economy and the continuous integration of technology into all facets private, professional, and public life is changing the way companies compete, create value, and engage with their business partners and customers. As entrepreneurs, we don’t always have the resources or expertise to leverage advances in technology to deliver true competitive advantage. These advantages can be in; customer experience, scale, cost, engagement, new channels to market etc.
One of the barriers to launching a career in tech is obtaining the necessary experience once you have obtained the skill to do the job. On the other side of the equation are startups / small businesses, nonprofit organizations require the resources or expertise to leverage advances in technology to deliver true competitive advantage but can't afford market price.
There are many programs/initiatives that push the idea of growing an entrepreneur community and small business. There are also programs/initiatives promoting the idea of apprenticeship for tech careers. There are also programs/initiates promoting careers in tech.
Idea of an apprenticeship program managed by Route360 that provides access to skilled individuals that might not have the necessary years of experience but tied to a mentor with years of experience that a startup would normally not be to afford. In addition to the skilled people, the small business will be provided with technical expertise to leverage advances in technology to deliver true competitive advantage and to ensure the people working with them is truly helping them take advantage of technology
Impact Venture’s Accelerator program is an 8-week 100% virtual program designed to train and equip underrepresented entrepreneurs, putting them on a fast track to traction and funding within their startup or small business. The program is structured to fit the full-time founder or the part-time “intra-preneur”, offering a flexible part-time in-person and online schedule, while maintaining quality education, community, and access to high-level mentorship and professional networks.
Our rigorous training and development program is designed to remove barriers and close equity gaps in access to:
Knowledge Capital – Quality training and business education combined with expert-level mentorship and coaching
Social Capital – Access to high-level professional networks to help support the development of entrepreneurial talent and ventures.

Program Components
Next Shift Learning connects untapped and talented Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to the tech industry through targeted upskilling and learner-centric experiences, traditionally reserved for company employees. First-generation and non-four year degree career seekers of color have relevant skills in technology but need professional networks or connections to overcome hiring barriers in the industry. NSL leverages the prior lived, and educational experiences of these career seekers and reapplies their knowledge, skills, and abilities to a new industry context.

Working with the trainees for pre & post class tutoring/study group sessions during the week as well as help with professional development skills. I know the larger group training sessions can be overwhelming depending on one's background
Working with the companies that will onboard a trainee to ensure the trainees are adjusting well and help reinforce the tasks they are performing at work during the study sessions to maximize the learning experience.
